AMSTERDAM PHOTO SHOOT INFO
Before Booking
Please take another look at my portfolio HERE. Do you like the photographs? Does the style of the photographs speak to you? Do the colors appeal to you? If your answer to all questions is “yes”, I’ll be happy to photograph you. If your answer to at least one of the questions is “no” or “not really”, this is the moment to drop the idea. By booking my service you agree that you will not resent the style and editing and that you will not request to re-edit the photographs.

Bring a drink and a snack.
In summer, I recommend a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
In case of rain bring a raincoat and/or an umbrella.
In case of a storm, (according to the KNMI), if possible, the photoshoot will be rescheduled. If not, it will be cancelled.

If you are running late, please call my mobile immediately to let me know.
I will wait 20 minutes and then I will leave, and it will be considered as a non-show.

If you wish to extend beyond your scheduled time and I am free, add-on time is charged at a rate of €150.- per hour or a part of an hour.
Bookings
It is advisable to book your photo shoot about 2 weeks in advance to secure my availability. However, I understand that you are busy and that you may want to book a photo shoot at a shorter notice. Please drop me an email if you are short in time as I might still be able to fit you in as a last-minute booking.
Payment
All photo shoots are to be booked and paid in advance via credit card, bank transfer or Tikkie app.
Please indicate on your booking form your preferred method of payment.
Once the date and time are confirmed I will send you a payment request according to the payment method that you chose.
The system I use for credit card payments uses https, which stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure, which is the secure version of HTTP – the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to.
The ‘S’ at the end of https stands for ‘Secure’. This means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted.
This means that your financial details are totally secure.
Once the payment is made the system will send me a notice and I’ll email you a confirmation and further details.

Transfer of Bookings
All bookings are fully transferable to another nominated party prior to the date of the photo shoot. All variations must be communicated in advance and in writing.
Safety
All photo shoots are held in public locations as roads, bicycle lanes, footpaths and interior and exterior of buildings.
While I will continuously endeavour to keep clients safe, clients agree to undertake any event at their own risk to themselves and their belongings.
Clothes
Feel free to wear what you like.
If you want some ideas, you may want to consider wearing clothes that complement the other people in your photograph, or the surroundings. Some people prefer to wear loosely similar style clothing, for example Blue Jeans and a white or black T-Shirt. Especially if you are a group of 4 or more, try not to wear clothes with big prints that with dominant the photos. But it’s completely up to you.
Your Photos
Your private gallery will always have the best shots from your photoshoot selected and edited. Remember that due to the nature of outdoor photography not all shots will come out as planned but if you have any dreamed ‘must have shots’ let me know in advance.
Within 5 working days from photo session date I will email you a link where from you can download the professionally edited photographs (JPG files) to your computer. I will inform you as soon as possible if I believe these time parameters cannot be met. You will get professionally edited images in high resolution ready to share on social media and ready for print.
Up to 15 photographs per 1-hour photoshoot (for example, from a three-hour photoshoot you will get up to 45 photographs).
Unedited photos or RAW files are not a final product; therefore, I will not forward those files to you. By booking my service you agree that you will not request to receive those files.
Additional Fees
I am liable for the costs of my own transport to your photo shoot location. However, if you choose to use any paid activities or services during your Photo Shoot (for example, if you purchase food and drink or go for a ride on a carousel…) you are responsible to pay for your own use of any such activities or services. If I cannot photograph you without making a similar payment, you are also responsible to pay on my behalf.
Copyrights
You have the right to use the photos for personal use and not commercial. You can share them, print them and hang them on your wall but you may not alter or sell them. The image(s) may not be used in advertising. The image(s) may not be resold, relicensed, or sub-licensed. I hold the copyright of the photos.
Intellectual Property
You accept that I may reproduce, distribute and publicly display your photographs in any form or medium, including on third party websites and search engines, whether now known or later developed, for the purpose of promoting and marketing my services, and that this right is perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid and applies world-wide.
You have the right to revoke the rights described above by communicating to me in writing of your desire to do so prior to the photo shoot, or at any time thereafter.
Weather
Over the last couple of years, I’ve discovered that if there is the slightest chance of rain according to the weather forecast, clients are deterred from coming on the workshop though rarely we experience heavy rain for long. It usually lasts 10 minutes, then stops or it drizzles… The weather in Amsterdam changes regularly so gray sky in the morning doesn’t always mean heavy rain later. And the weather report, especially the 5-day forecast, is wrong more often than not. There is no point in waiting for a workshop that will be scheduled on a day with a best weather forecast the weather is perfect and that there is a workshop is scheduled... because that will be the day you are at work!
